What is an Accredited Practsing Dietitian (APD)?
In Australia, “dietitian” is a protected title, meaning all APDs must meet strict education, training, and professional standards set out by Dietitians Australia. All dietitians have graduated with an accredited dietetics degree from an Australian university or studied overseas and undergone strict examination processes.
As an APD we are qualified to:
Provide individualised medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of medical conditions
Work in hospitals, aged care, community, and private practice
Offer care backed by the latest scientific evidence
Collaborate with your healthcare team for the best outcomes
APDs don't apply a one-size-fits-all approach and they can help improve your health and wellbeing. Dietitians will give you personalised nutrition and dietary advice to help you manage chronic or temporary health conditions.
If you’re looking for safe, evidence-based, personalised support—especially if you have a medical condition—working with an Accredited Practising Dietitian ensures you’re in expert hands.
Meet your dietitian
Hi, I’m Ingrid Kotzee —an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a passion for simple, evidence-based nutrition.
The journey so far:
I grew up in sunny North Queensland, where a love for the ocean, nature, and good food were part of my everyday life. When I’m not consulting, you’ll usually find me soaking up the outdoors—swimming, surfing, or dreaming up my next travel adventure. I bring that same grounded, curious energy into my practice, helping clients build confidence and nourish themselves in ways that feel sustainable and enjoyable.
I moved from North Queensland to Brisbane to I complete a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours at Queensland University of Technology. Since graduating, I’ve worked across both hospital and community settings all over Australia, and across a wide age range—from paediatrics to geriatrics. As someone who has lived in both large cities and rural communities, I know firsthand the challenges to accessing quality healthcare. Long drives, limited local resources, or simply a lack of flexible options can make it feel out of reach. That's why I offer telehealth dietetic services - so you can get expert guidance from the comfort of your home, no matter your location. I believe everyone deserves access to healthcare, and online nutrition support allows me to show up for my clients in a way that fits real lives. I am proud to support individuals and families in both rural and urban settings alike.
With over four years of clinical experience as an accredited dietitian, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through a wide variety of health journeys. While I provide nutrition care for a broad range of concerns - from chronic disease management to tube feeding - I do have a special interest in gut health, food allergies and intolerances, and paediatrics. Whether it's navigating IBS symptoms, supporting families through an allergy diagnosis, or helping children develop positive food relationships from an early age, I take a holistic, patient-centered approach—working alongside you to understand the full picture of your health, lifestyle, and goals. No one-size-fits-all plans—just practical, personalised care rooted in both science and empathy. I've seen firsthand how powerful small, sustainable shifts can be. So no matter your goals, I am here to help you take meaningful steps towards feeling better, eating well, and finding joy with food again.
Hence Eatwise Dietetics was born. I created this as a safe space where nutrition meets real life - no crash diets, no judgement, and definitely no boring salads (unless you're into those). Here, we talk about food honestly: the cravings, the confusion, the comfort, and the science. Eatwise is more than a name - it's that moment when your body asks for care, when your mind craves clarity, and when you decide to tune in rather than tune out.
This is a judgement-free zone rooted in nourishment, balance, and realness.
I'm so glad you are here! <3
